Abstract Submission
In order to be considered for a poster or talk, your abstract is due by September 15, 2006. Send abstracts by e-mail to: semrc2006@mbi.ufl.edu
Note: If you require additional time beyond the September 15 deadline, an e-mail message requesting an extension must be received by that date at the above address. Abstracts will remain confidential until the conference program and the abstract book are published.
Talks
Please indicate clearly in your e-mail if you want to be considered for a talk or if you would prefer to present a poster.
Abstract Format
Abstracts will only be accepted as a Microsoft Word document with the format described below. A sample template is available here. Sticking to this format will help keep our conference preparation costs down.
Title:
- Font type should be 12-point, bold Arial.
- The first alpha character in all words in the title should be capitalized except for articles, which should not be capitalized.
- Limit the title to 200 characters or less.
Authors & Affiliations:
- Font type should be 11-point, Times New Roman, italic for authors and regular for their affiliations.
- The presenting author(s) should be underlined.
- Provide the author's affiliation and the complete business address on the line under the author's name.

If more than one author, provide a number after the names, which will identify the names with the addresses.
Example:
name (1), name (2), name (3)
(1) address of first name, (2) address of second name, (3) address of third name
Body of Abstract:
- Font type should be 11-point Times New Roman.
- Content should be limited to 3/4 of an 8.5” x 11” page and no more than 2500 characters, single spaced, aligned left with a minimum of one-inch margins.
